WHO WE HELP
For companies run by their owners
We work with UK limited companies where the people who own the business also run it – and with those directors personally.
COMPANIES
Owner-managed limited companies
Companies with one or a small number of shareholder-directors, needing their annual compliance handled carefully and in good time.
DIRECTORS
Company directors
Directors who want their personal tax looked after alongside the company, rather than by a separate adviser.
SMALL BUSINESSES
Small and growing businesses
Businesses taking on VAT registration, their first employees or a move to cloud accounting software.
CHANGING ACCOUNTANT
Companies switching to CJC
We'll explain what we need to take over your records and filings, and agree the scope and fee before we start.

YOUR COMPANY AND YOU
Company and director tax, considered together
In an owner-managed company, the company's accounts and Corporation Tax are closely linked to the directors' own tax position. How you take money from the company – salary, dividends or pension contributions – affects both.
Because CJC can look after the company and its directors, we can review both positions together and explain the options and their implications, so you make decisions with the full picture in front of you.

One adviser
for your company and for you as its director, with the work agreed in a single, clearly scoped engagement.
Scope and fee confirmed in writing before work begins.
Every situation is different
What is suitable depends on your company's circumstances, your own circumstances and the tax rules that apply at the time. We'll explain the relevant considerations and their implications rather than promise a particular outcome. More detailed work – such as modelling alternative scenarios or formal written advice – is scoped and quoted separately.

FAQ
Questions about business accountancy

Yes. With your authority, we can contact your previous accountant to request the professional information relevant to your affairs and arrange an orderly handover. Before we act, we'll complete our usual client identity and acceptance checks and agree the scope and fee with you in writing.
-
We support Xero and QuickBooks Online. If your records are kept another way, tell us when you request a quote and we'll explain how we can work with them.
-
You can upload documents securely, or give us access to your accounting software so we work from the same records you use day to day. Please don't include tax reference numbers or sensitive documents in the quote form itself.
-
Business work is individually quoted – we don't sell fixed packages for companies. Your quotation sets out the agreed scope, the fee and how VAT applies to it, and we confirm it in writing before any work begins.
-
Yes. We can prepare directors' Self Assessment returns alongside the company's accounts and Corporation Tax, and explain how decisions such as salary, dividends and pension contributions affect both. Any advice depends on your circumstances and is agreed within the scope of the engagement.
